The MUMS community not only thrives on music-making, but also socialising! As well as attending concerts, there are many social events to participate in. Yearly traditions include the Fresher’s week 3-legged pub-crawl, Christmas Party, Lovetrain and Summer Ball. On top of that there are plans for concert outings, sports days and many more events!

TICKETS  on sale for £35 MUMSmembers/£38 Non-MUMSmembers. Cash or Cheque (addressed to Manchester University Music Society)

With the ticket you will receive an AWARDS NOMINATION SHEET and get to select 2 PEOPLE you'd like to SHARE A TABLE with so we can table plan accordingly.

Either Robin or Alex will be in the foyer FROM 1-3PM EVERYDAY till the week before the event. Get your tickets quick since we've only got a limited number to sell.

DRESS CODE: FORMAL (Black Tie and Gowns)

Tickets can now be bought from Sam in the MHC Cafe (cheques only though) as well as from Robin and I personally at 1-3pm, everyday!!

Your MUMS' Cookin'! 

MUMS members got into the 1950s style, learnt how to dance the lindyhop and ate plenty of cake!










MUMS Christmas Party

Giant shoes, chocolate money and an appearance from Father Christmas: hosted this year at Manchester235, 200 people attended the end-of-term cracker! Superfly Soul Collective played a set of festive tunes plus funky classics, and the DJ showed-up the musicians' dancing techniques into the small hours of the next morning. A good time had by all. 

MUMS Rugby Match 

The first and third years (plus an unsuspecting postgrad) took on the brave second years in this second annual battle for the MUMS Rugby Cup. A beautiful, albeit muddy, day saw the first and third years claim victory bringing the history of winning the cup to one all.

Lovetrain 

Everyone loves an excuse to wear an afro, sunglasses and Primark's finest blue trousers for the eagerly-awaited Lovetrain night. MUMS members dominated the stage in the club's official dance-off which was won in style by Fresher Ellie Westbrook.

MUMS Bonfire Night! 

It was wet and muddy but this did not defeat us! We took to Platts Fields in our boots and wellies with pride and watched the fantastic fireworks explode over Fallowfield.
