The finale of Estival 2011, the University of Manchester Symphony Orchestra present Shostakovich's stunning Fifth Symphony. Glazunov's Violin Concerto will be brought to life by the university's own Catherine Landen, and Mussorgsky's classic, Night on a Bare Mountain will open the procedings. A true display of Russian mastery and the high talent of the University's flagship ensemble.
